FPYIC - MEETING 29 MAY 2011

An exhortation was given by Sister Rose Mbiwan to help the woman better understand the way to get something from their husband.

Judges 1: 12-15

From this passage we see how Achsah the daughter of Caleb was obedient to her  father by getting married to Othniel according to the will of her father and how she was submissive to her husband by always asking her husband to have things of her father. Because of this respect and submission she received blessings from her father and also enables her to have what she wanted.
Judges 3:9-11
The submission of Achsah brought peace in Israel because of the peace she had with her husband.
Wives have to help their husband in their daily life. Help bring out their potential in situations that they a weak cause if the husband is stable and successful it’s also going to be a blessing for the wife.
Man had the power in the house and had the responsibility to take care of his wife to be happy.

Question: is the role of the woman limited only to the man? Is she going to be accountable to God or to her husband?
As a couple the best ways to carry on with a good couple life is COMMUNICATION. Everyone has his responsibility in a couple; before God everyone is accountable to the things his has sent us to do not only in our couple life but also in our society. Before God man has authority over the woman and is accountable first to God on the way he treated the wife and also the wife how she assisted the husband

Revue of the last meeting report by Bro Fidelis on the Vision, Moto & Goal.  A calendar of activities will be drawn by Bro Fidelis & Innocent to be presented.

GAME – Questions on couples on each other to be better know your partner;
1. Best color of your partner?
2. Partners birthday?
3. Partners’ best food?
4. Best book of the bible your partner like to read?
5. Best verse of your partner?
6. What makes your partner angry (complains about)?
7. What makes your partner happy?
Write something you want to tell your couple now (Any sweet words or forgiveness, etc)

From the analysis of the questions being return to the other partner, we noticed that the women are more informed on the issues of their men than the men do for them. Men are call to be interested in the things of their wife.

NEXT MEETING
June 26,2011 at Bro; Jean Louis residence Tongolo

VISTING NEW BABIES
Get in contact with the couples to have a suitable date for visiting (Action Bro Fidelis).
For the financial contribution each couple has to give minimum 2000 FCFA per baby and Sis Linda is in charge of collecting the funds. Deadline after the parents of the new babies must have decided.

We all joined in the meal prepared by the FORTEH family.
The Linda and Innocent told the group the story about how they met. Questions were being asked also to them to better understand and the meeting ended on a happy note encouraging our guess to make it again with us in our next meeting.

A word of prayer and we separated.

 Bro Fidelis

Apologize

After an usually long break, practical is back!

Hi friend,

Have you ever been hurt? I'd be surprised if there's one human being
alive who's not experienced a feeling of hurt and

disappointment before. The other side of this coin however is possibly
equally true. I know I have had opportunity to hurt

the feelings of others either intentionally or un!

Now, doea that mean man was created to strive to avoid hurt or hurting
others? Negative. It is important for example to stand your grounds as
a parent or teacher, when passing on an important principle or
teaching, inspite of the whining of the learner.

Let's talk a bit about the negative side of the issue rather. How
often do you own up, when you make mistakes and apologize for them
rather than hide behind a cloak of 'whatsoever' and ignore the result
of your (un)/intentional action?

"I am sorry" is one of the most powerful statement that can come out
of the mouth of a human especially when spoken in sincerity. There are
wars, fueds, problems, diseases etc which would've been avoided if one
party had the leadership and humility to recognise their error and
apologize.

The bible recommends for the Christian to seek peace with all men (
Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall
see the Lord Hebrews 12:14).

It is wisdom to seek out those you may have hurt and apologize. You
may feel you are right and owe nobody an apology, all that will
accomplish is hatred, mistrust, loss of respect, conflict and
everything else that serves to destroy rather than build.

The greatest need of this age is peace. Peace with man and peace with God.

Apologize toaday, if you owe one.

Blessings.

Practically Yours,
Inno

Modern Yaounde- Enjoy!

The definition of traffic Jam and corn -

I was on my way to a friend's , when I met this. After a few tries, i managed to squeeze through the truck and several other obstacles. This is the worse road I've ever been on. Even by douala standards...but that is another story, completely.
...and our modern day market! If you saw where the women sat to sell the corn. I tried to capture that bit also but was shielded by the commercial motor bike rider. They're next to a pile of rubbish, awaiting collection. This not only poses a serious health risk to them, but to the buyers also.

Now, this is what I'm talkin' about!

Independence day!

Aloha!

I used to have a T-shirt with the words 'Born Free' written on it. I
can't clearly remember the animal that was depicted on it, but someone
was trying to get attention to their plights and request they be
granted their inherent 'animal-rights'!

Show me one person that doesn't love freedom and I'll show you a dead
man. We all love to be free...to have the ability to make decisions
for ourselves. The majority of wars fought rotate around the word
"freedom" or "independence". Freedom from, opressive governments,
slavery and a host of other things. Tales abound in history of men,
women and children laying down their lives for the cause of
freedom/independence. The recent disturbances in the Arab world and
the ongoing situation in Syria bare testimony to man's desire for
freedom, at any price, when opression is perceived.

America, one of the most prosperous countries that have existed so
far, celebrates independence day tomorrow. A time for the people of
America to gather and reflect on their uniqueness and the 'hopefully'
the sacrifices others made for them to be where they are today.
Hopefully as lawmakers reflect on this, they will also remember Who
the founding fathers based their trust in. Anderson Cooper, announced
today he is a homosexual, suicide is increasing amongst US servicemen
and the fight to institutionize abortion is taking another turn. Is
this the result of true freedom?

Interestingly, we can go to great depths to obtain physical or mental
freedom while ignoring the need for true freedom i.e. spiritual
freedom. Man was created a spiritual being hence the need for
spiritual freedom. Now, I am neither talking about subscribing to yoga
nor eastern meditation. This age will have us believe we created
'ourselves', are our own gods and can go through a process of
reincarnation or deep meditation attaining god-hood! This is a lie,
and an old one to that perpetrated by the same person (the devil,
appropriately called the father of all lies), who told Eve, she could
be like God by disobeying God. True freedom is not found by looking
into yourself, God alone can give you true freedom. Two verses from
the Word of God, the Bible promise us both liberation and true peace;

- If the son of man (Jesus), sets you free, you are free indeed - John 8:32-36
- Thou will keep in perfect peace, he whose mind is stayed on thee,
because he trusts in Thee - Isaiah 26:3.

There are many more, which address both subjects of freedom and peace.
Bottom line, true independence encompassing all facets of human life
are found in God alone, period!

As we consider the freedoms and independence we enjoy as humans, let
us seek even more, true freedom that comes from knowing God and living
in obedience to His precepts. What will it profit a man if he gains
the whole world, and loose his immortal soul in an eternity spent in
hell? You decide.

Blessings
