Hi there,
This jumped into my spirit as I walked to work today.
Helen Adams Keller (June 27, 1880 – June 1, 1968) was an American author, political activist and lecturer. She was the first deafblind person to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree.(wikipedia).
The story goes, that she was once asked what could be worse than being blind..and Helen responded, in these words..." Physical blindness is not a problem. What is sad is having eyes, but having no vision!" (Paraphrased.)
And, behold, two blind men sitting by the way side, when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David.
And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What will ye that I shall do unto you? They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened.
So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.( Mathew 20v30,32,33,34 KJV)
Life lived out of Jesus is plagued with heavy blindness. Our sight can be restored. In this day an age, we are all encouraged to be broadminded. That's Ok..just be careful you're not being broadminded on THE narrow way! What's the point? Simple - The religious leaders in Jesus' time were blind to who He was and held many bound too. Jesus has compassion on those who recognise their limits, step up to Him and say, I need sight (vision).
Your choice today will determine your tomorrow. Choose the time tested, unfailing truth. Jesus, should not just be a subject for debate - He is real to those who CHOOSE to make Him master in their lives. He will help you deal with the sin factor and give you vision. And when you receive vision, remember, you need to follow Him!
Peace
Inno
