Adversity

Adversity is a thing no one likes to think about. The month of August
brought some of the greatest adversities we have known as a family so
far. These moments tested my staying power and faith like never
before. As we draw closer to the light at the end of the tunnel, I
have just this one statement to make, "I am a better man!"
Even though some will have us believe otherwise, God never promised
that when we become Christians (see how) all problems will disappear!
Growth is the natural result of being victorious in adversity.
Adversity can be compared to the training process during which an
athlete submits herself through a period of diciplined grueling
maneuvers in preparation for a competition.
Let's take a look at James 1:12 "blessed is the man who remains
steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive
the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him".
Interpretation:
- Some will fail in the school of trials
- There are blessings (1Pet 5v10: Confirmed, strengthened and
established) for staying strong and true in trials
- God knows you're going through trials (His grace will sustain you,
if you lean on it).

There's no fun in adversity but you can be sure the results will
benefit you, if you choose to see it through God's eyes. Commit
whatever you're going through right now, in His Hands and sincerely
count on Him. Remember He is the ULTIMATE TRUTH.

Even more Grace
