Seek help...

Hi there,   Hope this note meets you well and strong.   One of the top reasons why people despair, commit/think about suicide or take up self destructive habits is a feeling of hopelessness. This may not be news to you, but let's think about it for a minute. A day doesn't go by without news of some gruesome murder, rape, infanticide etc.Youths are increasingly taking their own lives and crime is on the rise globally, despite astronomical advances realised in technology over the last few years. The sign on the wall seems to point to a race, generation, people who seem to have missed (or misinterpreted) the real purpose for their being!   Are we hopeless as a race..the human race? Are we hopeless as a generation ( the FbGen)? Are we hopeless as a global community? Are we hopeless as a people?   Let's take a walk in time:   1. A ruler came to Jesus with an odd request. His daughter had died but he believed Jesus something could do something about it. Dead defines hopelessness . In his despair however, the ruler choosed not to give up.   He sought help.   2. When Jesus came to the rulers house, he met with further signs of the sad event - weeping. Mathew states that the ladies and men were making a noise. Men really can't help in the deeper issues of life. They can provide temporal comfort and join you in the mourning but after they leave reality dawns. The ruler needed more than just sympathetic crowds. Their sympathy couldn't bring his child back to life.   He knew this and sought help elsewhere!   3. Jesus stepped in and asked them to give way, boldly proclaiming that the maid only slept. The mourners laughed at Him to scorn. Their laugh was not a laugh of joy but rather an expression of thier anger at His apparent 'ignorance'!  There's a lot of laughing to scorn going in this 'enlighthened age'!  Many are abandoning morality, the fear of God, Christianity ( which teaches the afore mentioned) etc. The love for neighbour is relative and God has become man!?! You're laughed at for being honest, a believer in Christ and good. Prayer is seen as unnecessary, except maybe when an eastern guru ( a mere man like us all), defines it  with words that sound mysterious and enticing. Media moguls use their power and our lazyness to define 'our' reality (based on their human experiences) and drive us about like mindless zombies..and all we do is sit back and laugh with scorn!   Give way...help is on the way but you must give way.    4. Jesus took the girl by her hand and she rose...the news was in every media outlet! Your situation is not impossible no matter how hopeless it may appear. Seek help from Jesus, friends may en(dis)courge you, the world may try to define things for you.
