Our Children, Their Children, God's Children

 

Everytime I see a child,

Mine or not

Clean or unkempt

Sad or happy

White or black (whoever coined these words!)

 

My heart  leaps

The peace that flows from them

As they look up to their guide

For instruction on the things of these life.

 

I weep silently

As I contemplate the foolishness

As I see the lack of true leadership

As I discern the lack of the fear of the Lord

In those who are supposed to bring them up.

 

But look, you won't go free

Jesus cares for His own

You will give account..like it or not
