Pathway to excellence in leadership

We have a lot to learn from Joseph in terms of achieving excellence in leadership (key verses Genesis 31 -50 and Exodus 1).

I have highlighted some of the principles, below:

1. The Principle of VISION: Had a vision (you need to see beyond your now). God showed him the future. Prov 28v19

2. The principle of QUIET TRUST in God: suffering cruelty without complaining - Joshua 1v8, Isaiah 40:31

3. The principle of ENDURANCE: Endured temptation (Youth will be tempted in this area) without falling (Potiphar's wife).

4. The principle of EXCELLENCE. Deut 28v13 fruit of obedience

5. The Principle of BEING trustworthy: Was trustworthy in spite of his difficulties

6. The Principle of NOT COMPLAINING: Did not complain despite the appearance of things (From palace to prison -dungeon)!

7. The PRINCIPLE of STAYING FAITHFUL:He understood the times and was faithful to God at all times

8. The PRINCIPLE OF HUMILITY: Gave glory to God. That is why Potiphar/The prison guard and Pharaoh knew, he was the best man for the job! They were blessed/will be blessed because of him.

9. The PRINCIPLE OF BEING AN ASSET: Was an asset not a liability.

10. The Principle of TAKING OPPORTUNITIES: Applied Wisdom (not only interpreted the dream, he offered a solution).

11. The PRINCIPLE OF FORGIVING ALL: Had a forgiving Spirit (was not bitter- his brothers sold him, Pharaoh's prison guard forgot him, Potiphar doubted him). Are you getting bitter or better

Do you have a vision? What is it?

How do you communicate? Do you evaluate to know if the communication has been well received? How?

Do you act on feed back received as a result of your communication?

How is your attitude towards conflict?
Excel, that is the way forward.

Where do we go from here?

Redefine your leadership. I am a...
